Back in the Saddle
Back in the Saddle - Ruth Logan Herne
Colt is a well known person on Wall Street. He has all the nice suits and the look of a winner. But as the stock market starts to take a dive, he makes a decision to go back to his hometown. He grew up on a huge ranch called the Double S. It won't be easy going home for him since he has some relationships that need mending. So begins the story of a modern day prodigal son. Will he be welcomed by everyone?

Angelina finds herself working as a housekeeper at the ranch. She is very hard working and family oriented. When she meets Colt it is almost like an explosion going off. He didn't expect her to be in the house and she wasn't expecting him at all. As they begin to get more accustomed to each other they begin to have feelings for each other. Angelina knows that she is hiding something about her past and it is just a matter of time before her secret is found out. Will Colt support her or will he feel betrayed?

The Stafford men are a force to be reckoned with. Rough around the edges, decent, hardworking, stubborn to the core. But each grapples with deep wounds from their past. Patriarch Sam Stafford is finally ready to face the part he played in his broken family and willing to make amends...if it's not too late. What a wonderful set up for the Double S Ranch series.

Bradstreet Gate: A Novel
Bradstreet Gate: A Novel - Robin Kirman
Georgia, Alice and Charlie are the main characters who meet as Harvard freshman. Then there is Rufus Storrow who is an attorney but serves as a housemaster and a visiting professor. Before graduation a fellow student and friend Julie Patel is murdered, and Storrow is assumed to be guilty due to him matching the description of the killer and the argument he and Julie had in his classroom.

I wanted to like this book because I love a good mystery, but for me there was too much back and forth between the characters, and their quirky lives. I was not drawn in by the characters as some others were, I found them a bit dysfunctional

Until You're Mine
Until You're Mine - Samantha Hayes

Strongly
Psychological thriller/mystery. Until You’re Mine will keep you thinking, predicting and in suspense right up to the very end of the book.

Claudia is the first character who has the perfect life. She has a fulfilling job as a social worker, she's happily married to James, a handsome and wealthy Naval officer, she is stepmother to twin boys and she's about to give birth to a much longed for daughter. The second character is Zoe Harper whom Claudia and James have hired as a nanny to look after their boys and assist with the baby. Zoe arrives with perfect references and is a natural with the children, but she is secretive about her past and seems to have an agenda of her own. Is Claudia right to be suspicious, or is it just the pregnancy hormones?

The third character is Detective Lorraine Fisher, who is one of the detectives investigating two brutal attacks on pregnant women that have gone unsolved at the time Claudia get's a visit from Detective Fisher. After the visit, DI Lorraine Fisher becomes convinced the attacks are linked to Claudia and Zoe, and she circles them both, determined to expose the connection.

The narrative fluctuates between first, second, and third-person, as well as present and past tense events. Some readers may get a bit confused at first but after the first couple of chapters it will all fit together on how the book is going to flow. I really had no difficulty in keeping track of the story line, so I am sure other readers will not as well.

Blood Ties
Blood Ties - Carolina Courtland
Good

Man, I don't like cliffhangers. If it wasn't for the cliffhanger this book was very good, I have to say my favorite part was Madison and Quentin's relationship. Those two rock together.

Reunion - Carolina Courtland
Good

This does kinda remind me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Madison definitely knows how to do her job. Dominique seems very naïve and childish. Moving on to book two

This was rather very good book for being a short vampire story. I never thought Subine would give into Remy. Now on to book two.

Wraith - Angel Lawson
I have to say that this was not one of my favorite paranormal books it was bouncing around from here to there and back and forth and I had times where I had a hard time following what was going on. But I would recommend that anyone who does like paranormal, to read this book and the series. Everybody is different and you may really enjoyed this book. I don't believe that I am going to continue with the series . It just didn't turn out as good as I had hoped it would have, but that's just my opinion in my review. Happy reading everyone.

Wicked Cravings
Wicked Cravings - Suzanne Wright
The last one for me

Well this one was about Dante and Jamie and then becoming mates. I thought that this book was almost just like the first book in the series, it mainly consisted of nothing but sex no real story lines behind it. So this will be my last book in the series.
